Full House Memories

A 1980's sitcom that truly played a part in my childhood growing up was Full House. The family friendly show remained constantly on our television screen, and I was convinced that Stephanie Tanner was my long lost best friend. For as young as I was, I was able to understand and comprehend the topics and issues going on in the show. I remember how humorous each episode was, and the cast began to grow a fond spot in my heart. The character's that truly stood out to me was Jesse (uncle), Joey (uncle), Stephanie Tanner (the middle daughter), DJ (the oldest daughter), and Michelle (youngest daughter). The uncle's were absolutely hilarious in their own ways, and were the ones that brought the most fun to the show. The girls always were getting into something, which in the end they learned a lesson and was part of the moral aspect of the family friendly sitcom. Whether it was losing the family dog, lying about skipping school, or anything to do with boys...the show instilled value and morality as their primary focus. This show mainly deals with family, and friends being the outlets and bringing in fresh material for each episode. This sitcom was really directed towards a more female gendered audience because of the daughters, but tied in a masculine influence with the men being the authoritative figures. On the other hand, Full House displays that the decade in which it was filmed was that family should be the number one priority among everyone. It does not take long to fall in love with such a great family, and has impacted so many people even to this day and even newer generations.
